Marieluise Beck goes to Belarus

The representative of the Bundestag is to visit Belarus on July 17-18.

It is stated in the message of Marieluise Beck’s office, «Radio Svaboda» reports.

The MP of the Alliance '90/The Greens group in the Bundestag is set to get acquainted with the present situation with human rights and the political situation in Belarus.

Talks with human rights organisations, relatives of political prisoners, representatives of oppositional parties and analytical centres, journalists, public activists and experts are scheduled. Besides, a meeting at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Belarus is planned.

The Belarusian authorities have granted an entry Belarusian visa to Marieluise Beck for the first time over the last three years.
