Expensive glossy paper is bought for “Sovetskaya Belorussia” newspaper for a total amount of 2.5 billion rubles.
As charter97.org has found out, the newspaper of the administration of the dictator, “Sovetskaya Belorussiya”, has put out a tender for buying paper for a total amount of 2.499 billion rubles (almost 243 thousand dollars, according to the current exchange rate of the National bank).
The tender was announced for two positions. The first one is coated paper “Galerie Brit” or its analogue, glossy paper for web printing with gas drying, with analogous characteristics: format of 84 sm, density of paper 65g/m2, opacity of paper – at least 92%, gloss at least 58%, bilateral, brightness at least 86%, weight 100 tons, cost – 1.47 billion. The second position is coated paper with extra brightness “UPM-Kymmene” or its analogue, matt surface paper for web printing, with gas drying and characteristics not worse then: format of 84 sm, density of paper 60g/m2, opacity of paper – at least 92%, gloss at least 30%, bilateral, brightness at least 89%, weight 70 tons, cost – 1.029 billion.
