A source in governmental institutions claims Igor Zhilin (Ihar Zhylin) is at large.

- I cannot say for sure, whether Zhilin was detained or not, but one of these days he visited the concern and met with the administration, -- “Interfax” was told by a source in bodies of state administration. – After that he went abroad for treatment and rest.

The interlocutor has also said that he “does not have official information about whether some measure of restraint had been used for Zhilin, or whether it has been lifted at the moment.”

On July 1 Igor Zhilin was released of his position of “Belneftekhim” concern by a decision of the Council of Ministers.

As mass media reported, the Office of Prosecutor General brought an action against Igor Zhilin on charges relating Article 424 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or official position), however there is no official information on this case.

As informed by sources in law-enforcing agencies, Zhilin and his wife allegedly used their office mobile phone for his personal interests. As a result there was a bill more than $10,000. Besides, law-enforcing agencies had questions about his spacious apartment.

On July 28 Lukashenka appointed Ihar Lyashkevich (Igor Lyashkevich) the chairman of the Belarusian state concern on oil and chemistry. Previously he was first deputy chairman of Belneftekhim concern.

- I had warned there would be no mercy for anyone, when people behave improperly and look into the pocket of the state before putting anything into it. Our society knows that,” the dictator stated at the working meeting with the new head of Belneftekhim.
