Haliyafy (Goliaths), a shop selling Belarusian books, and Minsk's first literary coffeehouse, which was opened only two weeks ago, have been closed.
The information was spread by Belsat TV channel.
According to Aliaksei Kharuzhka, a deputy director of Haliyafy publishing house, “all shops in the building, where the bookshop was located, were closed. It wasn't caused by the work of our publishing house.”
“The bookshop will work only as the headquarters of the publishing house. We are looking for alternative business models. Our books can be bought at Mir Knig exhibition in Yanka Kupala Street. We hope the bookshop will open again at the beginning of September,” he said.
