The dictator again threatened to arrest officials.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka demanded today to secure an efficient grain harvesting campaign during a working trip to the Bialynichy district, BelTA reports.
“Bear it in mind that this year's harvesting campaign will be military-minded like never before. We have excellent crops and we need harvest every gramme,” he said.
The dictator warned the controlling agencies would pay increased attention to the harvesting process.
Other issues of the agricultural sector were discussed during the working trip. Lukashenka showed interest in harvesting and reclamation works in the Mahilou region.
The dictator also reminded the officials about his strict demand to restore pork production in Belarus.
He emphasised that the work should be completed in the first quarter of 2015. He warned about different sanctions, including criminal prosecution, for those who fail to take the necessary measures to ensure sanitary protection of pig breeding farms.
Deputy PM Mikhail Rusy and governor of the Mahilou region Piotr Rudnik reported to Lukashenka about the plans to develop pork farming in the region, including by means of merging and changing the form of ownership of a number of companies.
