One of the best Belarusian football players Valancin Bialkievich has passed away

At the age of 42 one of the best football players of Belarus Valancin Bialkievich has suddenly died.

The football player died on 1 August, they told charter97.org at the Belarusian Football Federation.

As a player of Dynamo-Minsk football club Valancin Bialkievich won the championship of Belarus four times and two times the country’s Cup. After the transfer to Kyiv Dynamo Bialkievich won the championship of Ukraine seven times and Ukraine’s Cup six times.

The Belarusian midfielder made a great contribution in the successes of the Kyiv team in European Cups – in 1999 Dynamo reached the semi-final of the Champions League.

He made 56 appearances for the national team of Belarus, having scored 10 goals. Valancin was one of the leaders of the Belarusian team in the 2002 World Cup qualification, when our team stopped one step from taking the second place in the group and the right to play in the second round games.

In 1995 he was recognized as the best football player of Belarus, and in 2001 – the best player of the championship of Ukraine.
