Activists have collected money for apartment for family of Belarusian, who died in Maidan

Activists have managed to help the parents of the Belarusian, who died in the Maidan, to purchase their own accommodation.

The charter97.org web-site’s editorial staff learnt about this from a coordinator of the youth network of the Trade Union of the workers of the Radio Electronic Industry (TUREI) Andrej Stryzhak. Yesterday he called Nina Vasiljeuna, the mother of Mikhail Zhyznieuski, and she shared the good news: they had managed to purchase a one-bedroom apartment in Homiel and by that to fulfill the dream of perished son.

“Zhyznieuski’s parents managed to purchase an apartment for the funds, collected by various foundations, which deal with supporting the relatives of the people, who died in the Maidan. This amount also includes the funds, collected earlier, as well as recently. It was enough to buy an apartment in Homiel. It was Misha’s dream for his parents to have their own accommodation, because they had been forced to lose it under certain circumstances. Now Mikhail’s mother is old and ill, his father is also old, and it seemed like they would never buy such an accommodation themselves”, - he pointed out.

We would remind that the death of a Belarusian Mikhail Zhyznieuski was one of the firsts during the bloody standoff in the Maidan in Kyiv at the beginning of the year.
