Krama not allowed to play in Dudutki

A Belarusian rock band was not allowed to play at a company party.

Charter97.org learnt it from Ihar Varashkevich, the leader of the legendary Belarusian rock band.

“Krama was not allowed to play at a company party of the ornitologist society, though the event was official and all taxes were paid. I learnt today that the director of Dudutki museum received the order that Krama should not play at the event. We'll try to figure out the reason. But they usually say there are no bans and no blacklists. The concert was to be held on Saturday,” he said.

The musician notes the band didn't have problems with playing concerts in Dudutki last year.

Restrictions on musicians that were imposed after the 2010 election were formally lifted in Belarus, but they still have problems with organising concerts.
