Charter97.org received a reply from Amazon hosting company over claims from Roskomnadzor.
Amazon informs that the website can post any information that does not violate the US laws or the rules of the service. The company re-sends Roskomnadzor's letters as an act of courtesy and to inform the website about Roskomnadzor's notices.
No response is needed if the requests are not accompanied by an official legal claim, according to Amazon.
Amazon says it received more Roskomnadzor's letters regarding several articles on the website and re-sent them to charter97.org. The company promises to solve the problem.
Roskomnadzor, Russia's media watchdog, blocked several articles on charter97.org on the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia. News articles about the “Siberian Republic” were blocked.
