Head of Mazyr region police department gets fired for drunk driving

The lieutenant colonel of police was under the influence of liquor while driving a car.

From what the deputy head of the Homiel region executive committee’s police department Aliaksandr Niekrashevich told, an administrative protocol has been composed regarding the actions of Jury Krasiuk under the article 18.16.1 of the Code on Administrative Conduct (driving under influence). The articles provides for a fine for the amount of between 15 and 36 basic fiscal units and the deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for 3 years, BelaPAN reports.

We would remind that in early July unofficial information came out that the head of the Mazyr region police department had been detained by road police for driving the service vehicle under influence.

On 23 July the head of the Mazyr region police department was fired from law enforcement agencies.

Lieutenant colonel Jury Krasiuk was appointed the head of the Mazyr region police department on 29 March 2013 by an order of the Ministry of Interior. He comes from Mazyr district. He started his career in the Kalinkavichy police department, graduated from the Ministry of Interior Academy, worked for 9 years in the criminal investigations department. Starting from 2002 Jury Krasiuk was the deputy head of the public order police of the Kalinkavichy PD.
