100 white-red-white flags in Minsk

National flags, which were banned by the authorities, appeared in different places around Minsk.

The campaign was organised by the Zmena movement, charter97.org learnt from Zmena's leader Pavel Vinahradau.

“It wasn't devoted to anything particular. We just wanted to remind everyone that white-red-white flags are good,” he wrote.

In 2009, activists of the European Belarus civil campaign hung out 100 national flags in Independence Avenue.
