Fuel contains white impurities that precipitate out.
Charter97.org learnt it from a reader.
“I filled up the nearly empty tank with 75 litres of diesel fuel at a Lukoil filling station on the intersection of Omelyaniuk and Radialnaya Streets on August 25. I drove one kilometre and the engine died. Atlant-M service centre issued a conclusion that fuel in the tank contains white impurities that precipitate out. I contacted the filling station managers. A sample was taken. They gave a phone number of a senior manager. I am now waiting for developments,” the reader wrote.
Lukoil declined to give comments to charter97.org on the phone.
