According to the government, the agro-industrial complex of the country should become one of the main drivers of the national economy’s growth in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
It has been said today by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich at the session of the Council of Ministers, BelTA reports.
As said by Prime Minister, this year agricultural sector is noticeably gaining momentum this year. “It is planned that the agribusiness is to become one of the key drivers of the economic growth in the third quarter. We have every chance to finish the harvesting successfully, to preserve and use the crops rationally, to earn profits from the money invested in the agricultural sector,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said. The leader of the state and the government have created all the necessary conditions for that.
Besides, today there is an opportunity “to solve the tangle” of problems which have amassed in the industry. In particular, thanks to the decrees adopted by the leader of the state, optimization of financing.
In general, speaking about the results of the Belarusian economy’s work in the first half of the year, the head of the government stated that its growth has increased. And notably, it has happened on a healthy, non-emission basis.
“Over the 6 months of the current year a positive balance in foreign trade in goods and services is secured, the country has a favourable balance of foreign currency’s supply and demand, and moreover, in all segments of the market (entreprises, population, banks),” Prime Minister noted.
It took a lot of effort of both the government and the National Bank. “The situation in the credit and financial sphere could not be called ideal, but stabilization is guaranteed,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
