Court lifts Dzmitry Dashkievich’s preventive supervision regime

The decision to lift the preventive supervision regime was taken by Minsk’s Piershamajski court.

Dzmitry Dashkievich shared the news on his Facebook account on 10 September.

“The most just and human court in the world – the Piershamajski court of Minsk hero-city – has lifted my preventive supervision regime today, - the former political prisoner wrote today. – I wish you knew, how good it feels not to rush home at 20:00, but quietly walk in the rain at 22:00! The greatest joy it is for our baby Mara, who is already picking dresses for the theater and travels outside the city!”

We would remind that on 28 August 2013 Dzmitry Dashkievich was released from the prison No 1 in Hrodna after having been behind bars for almost four years. He had been arrested on the eve of the presidential elections, on 18 December 2010, and sentenced at first for “malicious hooliganism”, and then for “malicious insubordination to demands of the administration of a penitentiary institution”.

After he was released, preventive supervision was introduced after Dzmitry Dashkievich.
