A mass poisoning of soldiers in the 65th automobile brigade in Zhodzina (military unit 28729) has occurred.
Thirty soldiers felt sick on September 21, a reader of Nasha Niva says.
“It began on Sunday evening. We had a dinner and some felt sick two hours later. Guys were vomiting, some had diarrhea. Some had high body temperature (38°C) in the morning. 28 people were sent to the medical unit. More people continue to arrive. We are not allowed to take leave. Visitors cannot bring food,” a soldier of the military unite wrote.
The information was confirmed by a relative of another soldier.
The serviceman says half of sick soldiers were sent to the medical unit. He thinks the cause of the poisoning was a food parcel from parents that the soldiers ate together.
The Ministry of Defence denies the fact of poisoning.
“The information is completely wrong,” Uladzimir Makarau, the ministry's spokesman said.
