24,000 Russian troops and 200 tanks are in Ukraine

The intelligence chief said at the closed-door meeting of the parliament that about 20-24,000 armed mercenaries and soldiers from Russia are in the zone of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO). 600 APCs and 200 tanks are reported to be in the Donbas region.

Oleksandr Turchynov said at the meeting martial law can be introduced if the peace talks fail, an MP told Ukrainska Pravda.

According to the MP, Turchynov has said at the meeting consultations will be held on Monday to discuss a special meeting on Tuesday if no progress in the talks on a peaceful solution is achieved in the nearest days.
