The agreement was reached in Wales.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said it at a joint press conference with NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Evropeiska Pravda writes.
“A bilateral agreement with NATO members states was achieved on military-technical cooperation, including supplies of non-lethal and lethal weapons, also high-precision weapons,” the president of Ukraine said.
Petro Poroshenko emphasised the agreement was reached not with the Alliance as a whole, but with some of its member states.
NATO does not object to the supplies and even encourages them.
“Military-technical cooperation will be mentioned in the resolution of the Ukraine-NATO Commission,” the president noted.
Petro Poroshenko did not say which countries agreed to provide military assistance. He had meetings on Thursday with the leaders of the US, Germany, France, Italy, the UK and Canada.
