Lukashenka signs decree on border with Russia

The ruler singed a decree yesterday on the state border with the Russian Federation.

On September 4, Lukashenka signed decree No. 433 that introduces border territory rules in the political units of Belarus, which are adjacent to the state border between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

The decree amends presidential decree No. 125 of March 9, 2009. “The decree will enable conditions for the border service to carry out its functions in these areas and to organise proper interaction with the border service of Russia for the sake of detecting and suppressing illegal transit migration, drugs trafficking, and the smuggling of material assets across the border,” the press service notes.
