Bloomberg: Belarusian ruble experienced the largest downturn since 1998

Bloomberg recognized Belarusian ruble's devaluation.

According to Bloomberg (translated by charter97.org), a few days ago Belarusian currency devalued by 6.6 percent against the dollar. Now the Belarusian ruble has the lowest rate since a regional shock because of a crisis and default on public debt in Russia in 1998.

"Russian ruble devaluation has already cost Belarus $740 million loss in exports. According to former Prime Minister Mikhail Miasnikovich, the Belarusians carried out $320 million more, buying cheap cars in Russia. International bonds of Belarus have fallen to their record levels", Bloomberg reports.
