Losses of Belarusian enterprises reached 13 bn rubles

On the results of the work in January – November 2014, 1116 economic entities were called loss-making in Belarus.

This number makes 13.9% of the total number of organisations, included in the current list (740 economic entities in January – November 2013, or 9.2%). AFN informs about that with a reference to the National Statistics Committee.

The sum of pure losses of loss-making organisations in January – November 2014 was 13 bn rubles, or 1.9 times as much as in January – November 2013.

The highest per cent (of the total number) of loss-making enterprises is in Minsk – 27%, the lowest – in Hrodna region – 8.2%.

The highest proportion of loss-making enterprises is in fish-breeding and fishing industry – 63.2%, in industry – 26.1%, in financial sector – 25%, in hotel and catering business – 16.9%, transport – 14%, trade – 13.8%.

The lowest proportion of loss-making enterprises is recorded in education – 7.2%, agriculture – 6.4%, communications – 4.3%, health care and social services – 2.1%.

In 2013 there were 752 loss-making entities in Belarus (9.1% of the total number), the sum of their pure losses was Br 8.8 bn (2.6 times as much as in 2012).
