Attack on Ziko in Minsk: seller is injured

Robber managed to escape.

According to eyewitnesses, about 5 pm the unknown attacked the seller of a jewelry store Ziko in the shopping center Moscow-Vienna. Now the building on Independence Avenue, 58, is cordoned off and nobody is allowed in.

— My friends and me went shopping and could not even imagine that would face an incident. There is a great number of riot police in bullet-proof vests, police cars are everywhere both in and out of the shopping center. There was an ambulance, but now it left, a reader of Onliner.by Victoria explained. - As we were told, an unknown guy, about eighteen years old, tried to rob Ziko shop on the ground floor. He wounded the guard, but then disappeared on one of the floors of the shopping center. To be honest, we are afraid to leave the store!

Information on the attack was confirmed by the administrator of the shopping center:

Yes, the incident occurred in Ziko. As it has a separate entrance, now it is cordoned off. Police are currently looking through all security discs along the Avenue, including our own. As I know the seller of Ziko was injured.

Law enforcement agencies are trying to identify the assailant, the press-service of Minsk police says.

- January 20 about 5 pm the seller noticed that one of the visitors was trying to steal jewelry. He tried to stop him. As a result the seller was allegedly stabbed and then the unknown escaped.

Now the attacker is being identified. An investigative-operational group works at the crime scene.

The lawbreaker is about 25-27 years old, height 170-175 cm. He was wearing: black cap, black short jacket, light blue jeans, sneakers with bright sole, had a dark backpack with him, the police informed.
