Belarusian students recommended reading Putin’s report

On January 10 Belarusian schools took the first stage of republican contest on country's history.

Officially, it is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany. It is held by the Belarus public association "Remembrance Association of the Warriors and the Victims of the Great Patriotic War" with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. It would seem it was just a competition but, nevertheless, some moments were surprising. For example, students in the preparation of the contest were recommended to read Putin's report published at Valdai forum in Sochi, Nasha Niva reports.

There is one of the questions: "Why are the ruling circles of the states of the USSR's former allies in defeating fascism as well as Germany now secretly and directly encouraging a revival of neo-Nazi, pro-fascist and nationalist movements and organizations and their activity in other countries?"

At the same time the organizers of the contest directly mean "America with its orange revolutions".

"Putin's report expands the meaning of the current Western geopolitics. And Putin clearly explained why Nazism was reviving that day. Today the West bets on pro-fascist and ultra-nationalist forces in such countries as Ukraine," it seems like Nikolay Popov, the member of "Remembrance association", and the chief of the contest told from the Russia TV channel screen.

And the question about why former allies, "supporting fascism", are presented as an axiom Popov answered: "This is a fact of today's geopolitics! Therefore, we state it! he even laughed as the question seemed to him a naive one. - For sure, the Unites States support a revival of neo- Nazi organizations. What is for? For orange revolutions! Why? Obama only knows!"

"Remembrance association" prepared questions for the contest, Popov said. But it was all coordinated with the Ministry of Education. No issues arose. It is interesting that "strengthening national tradition of mutual assistance and friendship with other nations" was among the contest's objectives.
