Yury Rubtsou: Opposition must make conditions to Lukashenka’s regime

The political prisoner has addressed to Belarusians.

In his audio address Yury Rubtsou, who is serving the term in a forced labour institution on politically motivated charges in the settlement of Kuplin, Pruzhany district, informed that he had considered actions of Belarusian political forces over the previous years. The main direction in the struggle in 2015, to his mind, is boycott of the election, eurobelarus.info writes.

“It is necessary to lay down conditions to the regime. And only after these conditions met, opposition could take part in the election,” Yury Rubtsou is convinced.

Among the conditions, which should be laid down by the opposition to the regime, according to the political prisoner, is free access to TV, abolishment of labour contracts, amendments to the Electoral Code of the country, which would guarantee transparent vote count.

We remind that on October 6, 2014 the judge of Tsentralny district court of Minsk, Natallya Vajtsekhovich, sentenced Rybtsou to two and a half years of imprisonment in an open type institution. He should serve his sentence during a year and a half due to the amnesty, mitigated term of punishment on one year. Human rights activists noticed that the trial was held with numerous violations, and his political activity was the real reason for the prosecution. After bringing up the sentence, Viasna Human Rights Center recognized Yury Rubtsou as a political prisoner. Now Rubtsou is serving the term in the open type institution #7 in the village of Kuplin, Pruzhany district, and he has sent his address from this place.
