Currency deficit in Minsk, Brest and Hrodna

The charter97.org readers write on “Vkontakte” about currency deficit in their cities. Artur Dzvizheniats writes that he barely had time to buy currency in Brest.

“I bought the last $10 in Belinvestbank”, he writes.

Yauhen Asiyeuski from Minsk proves the fact of the deficit.

January 8 the Government set to zero 30% exchange fee for enterprises. After the trading in the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange on January 8, 2015 the dollar increased up to Br13. 760. The official dollar exchange rate has increased by 26 per cent since the introduction of the exchange fee on December 19.
