The US is disappointed with "elections" in Belarus.

The statement of the Department says. It notes that Sunday "elections", October 11, were not so free and fair, RBK reports.

"The United States welcomes peaceful presidential elections in Belarus. Nevertheless, we are disappointed that elections, as reports of the missions of the OSCE/ODIHR and the Parliamentary Assembly observers show, mostly do not comply with international obligations and rules for free and fair elections," the statement says.

"These reports indicate serious problems with vote counting and summing up of results, with organization of territorial and precinct electoral commissions, as well as with the lack of fundamental reform of the current imperfect legal base, which regulates elections," the statement says.

It should be recalled that observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe negatively assessed the process of vote counting and summing up process.
