Ales Zarambiuk: We Expect Principled Policy Towards Belarus From Poland
ALES ZARAMBIUK

The government of Law and Justice party should support democracy in Belarus, a co-chairman of the “Belarusian House in Warsaw” considers.

Witold Waszczykowski, a member of the historic negotiations on Poland's accession to the NATO, has become the new Polish Foreign Minister.

The co-chairman of the "Belarusian House in Warsaw" Ales Zarambiuk noted in an interview to Radio Racyja that the Belarusian society expects principled policy towards Belarus from the new Minister:

— The Belarusian civil society is waiting for continuation of the ethical policy started by the government of Law and Justice Party in 2005. This policy could be noticed in concrete examples and concrete steps, the main ones being: resuming of Radio Racyja broadcast, establishment of Belsat TV channel, launching the program of support to the victims of crackdown in Belarus.

Ales Zarambiuk added that Witold Waszczykowski, as a member of the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs of Poland, took part in recent meetings with representatives of the Belarusian opposition, organized by the deputy of the Seim Robert Tyszkiewicz.
