Makei Goes To Berlin To Discuss Sanctions

The issue of lifting the sanctions from the Belarusian regime is to be discussed during the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers of Belarus and Germany in Berlin.

It is reported by RIA Novosti with a reference to the official representative of the German foreign policy agency.

The meeting of Uladzimir Makei and Frank-Walter Steinmeier is to take place in the capital of Germany on November 18.

“German – Belarusian relations, as well as Belarus’ cooperation with the European Union and the conflict in eastern Ukraine are in the focus of the talks,”– the source in the Foreign Ministry of Germany said.

In late October the European Union officially suspended sanctions against a number of Belarusian officials, including Lukashenka, for four months.
