Anatol Liabedzka: Most Important Thing – We Have Made Fool Of Special Service
Anatol Liabedzka

The Interior Affairs department of Central district of Minsk has not found any ground for opening a criminal case for illegal eavesdropping of oppositional politicians.

Such an answer was received by the chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka, Radio Svaboda informs.

Anatol Liabedzka has called the answer from the police “extremely formal.”

“I would say it’s baby talk. They have not even made any basic things.

Firstly, there are surveillance cameras in Salodki Falvarak café, and they have not even guesses to look whether there was video footage which could help establish the truth.

Secondly, they showed no interest in the main proof of eavesdropping – the device itself, which also stresses that it had been made formally, no one was dealing with that.

Thirdly, they have not even made an attempt to find out from the prosecutor’s office whether there had been a sanction for eavesdropping to special services to monitor us. Then everything would have fallen into place.

For me the absence of these three steps means at least that no one wanted to carry out investigation, that it was just formal things. The only positive result is that we have made fools of them. It’s an open secret that we are eavesdropped, but to present proofs is something different still,” – the politician said.

Liabedzka said he is not going to address any state institutions any more concerning this case.

“We won’t waste time. We have completed this procedure, and the rest is just a waste of time, a time wasted on correspondence with force structures,” – the politician said.

We remind that during a meeting with Mikalai Statkevich and Uladzimir Niakliaeu in Salodki Falvarak café, the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka found a “bug” in a napkin holder. An expert in electronic equipment examined the device in detail and came to a conclusion that it was a dictaphone, and moreover, a homemade one.
