Mikalai Statkevich: Either Lukashenka Changes Elections Code By 2016 Or We Go To Square

Next Ploshcha (the Square) in Minsk may happen in the autumn of 2016 depending on the results of the "parliamentary elections".

Leader of Belarusian opposition and former political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich doesn’t exclude such turn of events according to his interview to Radio Racyja.

“A pro-Belarusian and pro-European bloc should be created, which will make the Belarusian regime to face a choice - either they change the law, and then we will go to these "elections" and try to win. Or the authorities do nothing, and then we will organize Ploshcha.”

Mikalai Statkevich is not going to participate in the parliamentary "elections", as he has an outstanding conviction for Ploshcha that took place in 2010.
