Political prisoner Vaskovich denied reading CC in the colony

Political prisoner Jauhen Vaskovich was denied to take with him a legal literature.

It became known that after long-term visit with his mother in Mahilyou colony No. 15 the political prisoner was refused to take with him a legal literature. The Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code are among them, baj.by reports.

A journalist met with political prisoner's mother on February 5-6. His mother Rushaniya Ivanauna among those things she brought with her also had a legal literature which Jauhen had asked before and which his friends and colleagues gave him.

These books are issued in Belarus and contain information about legislation, rights and duties of Belarusian citizens. Including those who are imprisoned.

The colony didn't explain why that literature turned to be banned.

It is worth noting that imprisoned Belarusian citizens are not deprived of the right to receive and store information concerning their rights and interests.
