The state is ready to sell the entire portfolio of shares, which ranges from 10% to 100% depending on a company.

The cost of assets is not stated in the document. “The initial price of the shares is set at their maximum market or book value, as established on January 1 of the year of sale. The market-based valuation of shares is done after the decision of the president of Belarus on their sale is adopted,” the report reads.

Among the major companies which the authorities of Belarus are ready to sell are Mogilevkhimvolokno and Horizon (Gorizont) Minsk Radio and TV Plant, as well as a number of woodworking enterprises.

The State Property Fund has presented several conditions to potential investors. A buyer of Mogilevkhimvolokno should ensure implementation of several projects for a total sum equal to $353.2.
