Kaliningrad governor complains about Belarus to Medvedev

The Russian prime minister promised the administration of the Kaliningrad Oblast to look into cases of confiscation of equipment on the Belarusian border.

According to governor Nikolai Tsukanov, Belarus illegally confiscated equipment worth more than 4 million dollars and even managed to sell it, TASS reports.

The regional authorities claim the explanations that deliveries were carried out by dummy companies have no grounds, taking into account that inspectors visited the region and production facilities.

According to the governor, appropriate services visited the region and made sure that production facilities really exist, which was documented. “Another issue is that our laws allow a company to be registered in any place, not necessarily Kaliningrad,” he noted.

“We will deal with the issue,” the Russian PM promised. “Don't doubt, we'll deal with it both on the political level and the level of performers,” Medvedev said.
