Eduard Lobau set free after identity check

The former political prisoner was not detained.

Charter97.org learnt it from Eduard Lobau.

According to the former political prisoner, he was stopped by the police at the metro station Yakub Kolas Square for an identity check. They didn’t have other questions to Eduard Lobau and allowed him to go after he showed his ID.

The Freedom Day rally was held in Minsk on March 25. About 2,000 people came to the event with national and EU flags. Organisers chose not to hold a meeting and called on demonstrators to mark the event at bars and restaurants.
