The number of participants of the rally on Freedom Day was held in check artificially.

“On March 25 Freedom Day was celebrated, the Belarusian People’s Republic was proclaimed 97 years ago. This is a holiday for all Belarusians! And what is happening in our university on this day?

At 3.30 p.m. a dean of the department burst into our class and personally checked who was present! Later, in the VKontakte community of the chair, a message was posted: “On Friday students on the list must provide explanatory notes to the dean’s office with explanation of the reasons why they had been absent!” he writes.

We remind that the rally dedicated to Freedom Day was held in central Minsk on March 25. The rally was sanctioned by the authorities, however it was rescheduled to the time which was extremely inconvenient to those who work or study, 3 p.m. Yesterday reports were received about checks in schools and universities.
