Lukashenka: No Squares in Belarus

Dictator visited military unit 3214 and met with the heads of Internal Affairs Agencies.

"Today, there is hope that based on Minsk accords on the Ukrainian crisis the world community will endeavour to stop the fratricidal war. First of all the Ukrainians need it, as well as the European Union, Belarus, and Russia", he stated during the meeting with security officials, BelTA reports.

"Fortunately, we have neither national nor religious conflicts. During its entire history the Belarusian nation has experienced in full the tragedy of wars that took place on our soil. And we wish no one to experience that", he emphasized.

"I have repeatedly mentioned it, but I find it necessary to stress it once again: There will be no Squares in Belarus, Lukashenka said. - We must completely preserve the law, as well as our country".

Wars and conflicts have already come to our borders, Lukashenka said.

"You can't ignore that the world is changing rapidly, becoming less safe, and a number of states has plunged into the quagmire of civil wars and ethnic conflicts. These phenomena have already come to our borders, the official leader said. In any case, corresponding negative manifestations must not cross the border of Belarus. It is our duty to the State, to our families, children and all the people who require protection", he said.

According to him, in fact, a war zone is located in the Middle East, North and Central Africa, many European countries have become targets for terrorist attacks, "and various color revolutions seek to destabilize not only individual states, but entire regions".

Lukashenka also told about cooperation with the West.

You have noticed that recently high level representatives of western states visit Belarus. It is treated in different ways. I am most disappointed with what some people say: Lukashenka does it only before the "elections" and so on. It does absolutely not touch me. The main thing is that it is done for our state. Ukraine, Russia, and the West express gratitude to us," the Belarusian ruler said.

"They (representatives of Western countries) come to us with a very pragmatic purpose. And I support them in this regard. Now they understand what security in Europe means, and what role Belarus may be play in this security system in our common European home. Europeans understand this, and they are ready to cooperate, even because of security in Europe. We are open for it", Lukashenka noted.

It should be reminded that according to numerous testimonies in late 1990 military unit 3214 had a "death squad" that kidnapped opposition politicians.
