Dictator: Economic weakness turns us into hostage of international financial organizations

On the day of arrival of the International Monetary Fund delegation the dictator comments on the state of the economy.

Economy revival is the top-priority task of the government and all the government agencies, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said today as he met with top-ranking officers of law enforcement agencies.

As said by the dictator, economic weakness is turning the nation into a hostage of international financial organizations.

It happens when the country’s budget resources cannot allow the state to operate effectively and fully discharge social responsibilities.

“Therefore, economy revival is the top-priority task of the government and all the government agencies. More precisely, it is necessary to invigorate the production sector, literally a number of several gigantic enterprises of ours,” noted the head of state.

We remind that the scheduled mission of the IMF is arriving to Belarus on March 5.

Experts of the fund are to work in Belarus until March 16. “It is a regular mission. Consultations on Article IV are to be held,” said representatives of the IMF. That is, the mission is to be engaged in doing the annual review of Belarusian economy’s development, which is held in other member counties of the fund as well.

Meetings of experts, including the ones at Lukashenka’s administration, the National Bank, the Economy Ministry, are on the agenda as well.
