Photo-fact: Stalin in military enlistment office in Babruisk

Portraits of the “marshals of the victory” are hung on the walls of the military enlistment office in Babruisk.

The gallery begins with the portrait of Joseph Stalin, Radio Svaboda reports.

A representative of the enlistment office, Aliaksandr Marchanka, refused to say what the main organiser of purges in the USSR should symbolise for young recruits. Nor did he answer why the Soviet army retreated in 1941 and why the number of casualties was so high.

The gallery includes the portrait of Klim Voroshilov, who was actively involved in purges, also against command personnel of the Soviet army.
