Delta Bank customers storm bank offices

Clients of Delta Bank reserve places in a queue to return their money at 7 a.m.

Delta Bank began to return money to its customers on April 13.

The National Bank of Belarus revoked Delta Bank's licence due to the bank’s failure to comply with individual licence requirements as well as creation of the financial situation which resulted in the bank’s failure to meet its obligations to depositors and other creditors.

Bank Moscow-Minsk was appointed by the Agency for Guaranteed Repayment of Natural Persons’ Bank Deposits to return money to Delta Bank's customers.

Minsk News agency learnt from the marketing department of Bank Moscow-Minsk that people stand in long queues. Some came to the bank long before opening hours:

“There's a crowd of people who came to take their money back. Some came at 7 a.m. They are shocked. They fear they won't get their money back or the bank won't have enough money. Don't worry. We have enough money for all. We order the necessary amount, don't worry. We have the queue because of our people's mentality but not due to problems at the bank,” the bank's representative noted.
