Solidarity Day in Brest region: Freedom for Statkevich!

Portraits of political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich and stickers “Freedom for Belarus” appeared in towns of the Brest region on April 16.

Activists distributed them in Zhabinka and Pruzhany. Stickers and posters with the portrait were pasted on advertising pillars and boards in crowded places.

Charter97.org learnt earlier that the Solidarity Day was marked in Pinsk. Hundreds of stickers “Freedom for Belarus” appeared in the city. Every 16th day of a month is the Day of Solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners, missing politicians and activists. It is traditionally marked in Belarus and other countries.
