The Supreme Court considers the writ of appeal of ex-Director General of Borisovdrev.

At the beginning of the hearing, Uladzimir Maltsau asked the Court to summon the Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Siamashka and question him as a witness, but the Court rejected the request, Radio Svaboda reports.

The former Director General of Borisovdreva appeared before judges and said he did not plead guilty. He said he had done his best to upgrade the enterprise in terms, and provide good conditions with good equipment for employees, for them to be able to earn good money, and he had not pursued any personal goal.

Uladzimir Maltseu says his case was trumped-up. The court, as well as Minsk regional court, did not accept all the evidence in his favour. It sentenced him to three years in prison for alleged mismanagement, also took into account only the evidence against him. Uladzimir Maltsau says he felt like a scapegoat.

His lawyer Dzmitry Harachka believes his client is innocent and asks completely stop the persecution. He says there was not actual evidence against his client.

Prosecutor Eldar Safarau insists on guilt of Uladzimir Maltsau, and believes that there was enough evidence against him. According to the Prosecutor, Uladzimir Maltsau's motive was to make a good career in the company, and one of the evidence is that within a year and a half he became CEO.

Now the court left for giving judgment.
