Russian anti-aircraft gunners arrive in Minsk to take part in the parade

Russian military equipment that takes part in the parade will arrive in Belarus in late April.

Parade crew of the 606th guards SAM regiment from Elektrostal (Moscow oblast) has arrived in Minsk. It will participate in the 70th Anniversary of the Victory Day, the Defence Ministry of Belarus informed BelTA.

"Soldiers of the Russian Federation will participate in the parade of the Minsk garrison in commemoration of the Victory Day of the Soviet Army and the Soviet people over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War. Guests from our fraternal country will hold several training as part of the front mechanized column", explained in the Department.

Russian military equipment used in the parade will arrive in Belarus in late April. It will form seven parade crews (from 24), including the flight echelon. "This is the most advanced equipment, which has entered service in the Russian Federation and is a part of the regional grouping of troops (forces). It is planned to hold several joint trainings that will allow the Belarusian and Russian commanders to organize closer cooperation. And it, without doubts, contributes to defense improvement of the Republic of Belarus," the Belarusian military newspaper Vo slavu Rodiny reported earlier.

Also in Minsk parade weapons and military equipment of times of the Great Patriotic War will be used for the first time. These are samples of weapons of air defense units: a projector and two anti-aircraft guns for chassis of ZIS cars. In total 250 units of combat weapons and equipment will be used during the parade. Dress rehearsals of Military Parade will be held in the capital on May 4 and 6 in Masherava Avenue.
