Belarusians support Ukrainian activist arrested in Crimea

Belarusian activists from Poshuh movement drew graffiti to support Crimean anarchist Aleksandr Kolchenko, who may face a 10-year term of imprisonment. Charter97.org learnt it from activist Ivan Dub.

“We express our solidarity with political prisoner and anarchist Aleksandr Kolchenko from Ukraine. We believe the truth will win and dogs of the regime will be defeated. The authorities don't want to see people able to think in occupied Crimea. He is charged with involvement in terrorist attacks and extremism for no reasons. He may face up to 10 years in a maximum security prison,” he says.

Aleksandr Kolchenko is an anarchist, member of the antifascist movement, activist of the Student Action trade union and campaign against construction works in Zalesski Park in Simferopol. He is against the annexation of Crimea, which caused discontent of Russian security services.
