The Ministry of Energy of Russia will consider the possibility of cutting oil shipments in June.

TASS learnt it from the ministry's press service.

“The Russian party has the right in the planned quarter to cut raw oil deliveries to the Republic of Belarus via a pipeline in case supplies of petrol are reduced by more than 10% of the agreed amount. The using of this right by the Russian party will be considered in June 2015 during a discussion of the schedule of oil transportation via main pipelines outside Russia in the third quarter of 2015, following the implementation by the Republic of Belarus of the approved schedule of petrol deliveries to the Russian Federation,” the Ministry of Energy says.

The ministry notes that according to the approved balances of main types of oil products, the amount of produced petrol of ecological class 4 and 5 will reaches 36.8 million tonnes in 2015, while the volume of consumption is 36 million tonnes, which will allow forecasting a stable situation in Russia's domestic market even if petrol from Belarus is not delivered.

In case of unexpected circumstances, the Ministry of Energy of Russia has guarantee obligations of Gazprom and Rosneft on supplying an additional amount of petrol to the domestic market at the expense of external sources, the volume of which exceeds the expected deliveries of petrol from Belarus, the Ministry of Energy adds.

Belarus has suspended the export of petroleum products to the Russian market due to unprofitable prices, Belarusian deputy PM Uladzimir Siamashka told journalists on Wednesday.

He noted that Belarus had the right not to deliver oil products if their price was lower than the average European one. Belarus already suspended oil products deliveries to the Russian market in March and resumed them in April.
