Belarusian politicians support Maira Mora's resignation

Representatives of the majority of Belarusian political parties support the resignation of Maira Mora, the Head of the EU delegation in Belarus.

They said the Information service of EuroBelarus at the MediaBarCamp-2015 held on May 7-10 in Lithuania. Question about the initiative of Martin Uggla, Head of the Swedish human rights organisation Östgruppen, was addressed to representatives of the United Civil Party, Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD), "Tell the Truth" campaign, Green party and the BSDP (Hramada -Assembly).

Anatol Liabedzka, the Chairman of the UCP notes that Maira Mora has taken a number of steps to support Belarusian pro-government initiatives. However, many public and political initiatives have been denied support. Anatol Liabedzka says this position is at least strange. That is why he supports Martin Uggla.

Only Andrei Dmitryeu, one of the leaders of the Tell the Truth campaign, sounded against the idea of Swedish civil rights activist. He refrained from a direct answer to the question. He says the European Union should deal with the issue on Maria Mora's resignation.

It should be reminded that earlier Audronius Ažubalis, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs, a member of the Seimas and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament on Foreign Affairs, supported Martin Uggla, Head of Swedish human rights organization Östgruppen, in resignation of Maria Mora, the Head of the EU delegation in Belarus, due to "exhaustion of the credit of trust".
