Belarus loses to Canada, out of 2015 IIHF World Championship

The Belarusian team lost 0:9 to the Canadian team in the quarterfinals of the 2015 IIHF World Championship and is now out of the tournament.

Canada vs Belarus — 9:0 (4:0, 2:0, 3:0). The game took place in Prague's O2 Arena.

Despite expectations in favor of the Canadian team there were a lot of speculations about the outcome of the game before the start. The Belarusian team played quite well in the preliminary stage of the tournament giving rise to hopes that it will be able to tackle the Canadian team.

In the semifinals the Canadian team will play against the winner of the Czechia vs Finland game. The semifinals will take place on 16 May. The game for the third place and the finals will take place in the Czech capital on 17 May.
