Russians drifting on Minsk's Kastrychnitskaya Square again

Riot policemen were patrolling streets near Kastrychnitskaya (October) Square on Sunday night.

They saw a Hyundai car with Russian registration plates that drove to the square at around 5 a.m. “The car drove to the square and made several circles,” the Minsk main police department reports. “The driver tried to drive away as she noticed the police patrol. The policemen saw that the car driven by a female driver carried two girls and a guy as passengers.”

“The traffic police was immediately informed about the incident,” Siarhei Radziuk, chief inspector of the Minsk riot police, says. “Two girls, 23 and 19, were detained within the next 30 minutes. It was established that they were in the car. The Hyundai car was found later in a parking lot.”

The girls were charged with disorderly conduct and being drunk in public. The police are going to identify other participants of the incident, onliner.by reports.

This is the third such case for the past six months. A company of young men from the Moscow region was noticed drifting in their Chervrolet around the Christmas Tree on Minsk's Kastrychnitskaya Square in early January. Another incident, this time involving an Audi car, took place two weeks later.
