Losses of Minsk enterprises doubled

In January – March 2015 the sum of the net loss of Minsk loss-making enterprises was Br3.2 bn, which is 2.1 times as many as in January – March 2014.

BelaPAN was informed about that by the Main statistics department of Minsk.

Over the three months of the current year 423 businesses were loss-making, or 24.6% of the total number of registered organisations (344 in January – March 2014, or 20%).

The proportion of loss-making enterprises was: 10% in agriculture, hunting forestry and fishing (5% in January – March 2014); 32.3% in industry (27.2%); 26.2% in construction business (19.6%); 34.1% in trade (25.8%); 40% in hotels and restaurants (25.3%); 24% in transport (21.2%); 5.3% in communications (10.5%); 0% in financial sector (14.3%); 13.9% in the sphere of operations with real estate, rent and services (12.4%); 2.9% in education (8.6%); 16.7% in health care and social services (27.8%); 22.7% in the sphere of housing facilities (18.2%).

In Q1 2015 profitability of sales was 8.9%, and increased as compared to Q1 2014 by 3%. In January – February 2015 profitability of sales was 8.8%, in March – 9.1%.
