The average wage of Belarusians increased by Br52,400 (slightly more than 3 dollars) in April, the National Statistical Committee informs.

The nominal average monthly wage was Br6,301,200 in January-April 2015. The wage reached Br6,536,100 in April, having increased by 0.8% (Br52,400) in comparison to March, the National Statistical Committee reports.

The real wage (the wage adjusted for price growth) in January-April 2015 fell by 3.2% compared to January-April 2014 and by 0.1% in April in comparison to March 2015, BelTA reports.

According to the Statistical Committee, the average wage was Br6,839,800 at plants, Br7,523,400, in the construction sector, Br7,518,300 in the transport and communication sector, Br4,902,700 in agriculture and forest sector, Br4,828,200 in education, including Br5,827,100 for school teachers and Br7,798,800 for academic staff. Healthcare employees earned Br5,507,800. The average wage in healthcare was Br8,983,900 for doctors and Br5,501,400 for nurses.
