Eight new Polish visa application centers to be opened

There will be 42 windows for visa applications.

Polish visa application centers will be opened in Minsk, Brest, Hrodna, Homel, Mahileu, Baranavichy, Pinsk and Lida. There will be at least 42 windows for visa applications and 20 points for collection of biometric applicant data. Since June 23 to obtain a Schengen visa the Belarusians will have to provide biometric data – fingerprints and a digital photograph. Under the terms of the tender the visa centers should be equipped with all required devices. Applications for the tender will be accepted until June 10, BelTA informs.

It is expected that centers will be able to annually accept 290 thousand applications for visas, including a center in Minsk - 80 thousand. Applications can be submitted from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) from 9 am to 5 pm. The decision on visa will be taken within 10 working days. If necessary, review of documents may be extended to 30 days.
