Goaltender of Minsk Dinamo ice hockey club Jeff Glass, who recently joined the team, shares his impressions about Belarus and Minsk.
The sportsman said in an interview with Pressball.
– How many times have you visited Minsk?
– Ten or twelve. I visited Minsk at least one time every KHL season. When I was in Spartak, we had a pre-season tournament in the Belarusian capital. I had an opportunity to get acquainted with the city and see more than the usual circle “airport-hotel-arena”. My impressions? It's clean. It's order everywhere.
– Does Belarus differ from Russia, in you opinion?
– You know, for a North American, these countries differ more from his homeland rather than from each other. But I see a small difference. For example, your streets are wider. More people speak English than in Russia.
And of course, you national currency. I remember three of us paid a million rubles at a restaurant. I was shocked, I couldn't believe it. It was some years ago. I cannot imagine the current ruble's exchange rate against the dollar.
